discover Poké Lids

The world's first Pokémon utility hole covers (Poké Lids) featuring Eevee and its evolutions have been installed in Ibusuki. The idea was inspired by the similarity in pronunciation between “Eevee suki” (which means “I love Eevee” in Japanese) and "Ibusuki". This is a circular course where you can enjoy Ibusuki's cuisine and tourist attractions while visiting the 9 Poké Lids located in Ibusuki.

    This shrine is dedicated to the Princess of the Dragon Palace from the Japanese legend “Urashima Taro.” We also recommend trying a seashell prayer, where you write your wish on a seashell and dedicate it to the gods.

    ~The train, Mt. Kaimon, and the lucky yellow postbox~

    JR Japan's southernmost station, where you can admire Mt. Kaimon, known as Satsuma Fuji, right before your eyes. The lucky yellow post box is also popular. It is also well worth purchasing postcards at Kyutaro Shoten across the street and posting them.

    ~A collaboration between Lake Ikeda and Mt Kaimon~

    This is easily the largest lake formed by a volcano in Kyushu. Visitors can enjoy cafes, souvenir stores, activity facilities, and seasonal flowers, including sunflowers in summer, rape blossoms in winter, and a spectacular view of Mt. Kaimon.
